Painting in Italy, can you think of no other place on earth to paint. For the past six years Niccola Vigini has made the exodus to Italy to take his students to paint. This program is a must for all serious decorators. This 15-day workshop will focus on all aspects of faux finishing and decorative painting, including marbling, graining, trompe l'oeil, landscape, figures, architecture, and Italian ornamental decoration, grottesca. This program will be held at the Palazzo Doria Pamphilij located in beautiful San Martino al Cimino in Italy, just one hour north of Rome. The program includes 3 days of touring, including one day in Rome, where we will study faux and real marbles, fresco, scagliola as well as fine art in places known only by true connoisseurs.
Here is what previous students have said about their experience in Italy.“ I was accustomed to an early breakfast and then a short but invigorating walk through a beautiful Italian landscape, past breathtaking scenery to the palazzo where I took up my brush and was ministered to by masters who gently whispered into my ear the secrets of light and color, they held my brush for me when I was fatigued. I was surrounded by talented fellow artisans who shared with me a time so perfect that I still find myself dreaming of it every morning upon awakening. We bonded ourselves and became a family over lavish meals and endless glasses of wine. We were taken to the house of Popes and royalty where we frolicked in gardens so exquisite that even the Gods are envious. We stood before the works of Bernini and Raphael, of Prada and Versace…” Sheri Hunt, Colorado
"The trip was such an amazing excursion that I am a little bit in a haze and daze. You two are a great team with the combination of great talent and business skills"
