412-C Pietra Dura In this two day advanced class, you will learn the intricate processes of peitra dura. Simulating patterns of intricate stone/marble designs is a skill that requires great precision. Once this skill is mastered, you will have a more complete set of decorative painting skills. In this class, you will use the techniques of faux marble and semiprecious stone, plus some invented marbels to get a desired color effect. You will learn the detailed process of pietra dura, and complete a series of in-class exercises. You will understand the concepts taught in marbling, and learn about the use of vinyl transfers. You will also learn how to create and scale a design. You will create an underpainting and practice doing hands on painting exercises designed to further your techniques.
