411-C Marquetry Marquetry produces elaborate wooden ornamental designs. In this one day class you will learn the techniques involved in how to faux finish intricate fitting pieces of wood. Simulating patterns of intricate designs in wood and other materials is a skill that requires great precision. Once this skill is mastered, you will have a more complete set of decorative painting skills. You will review wood graining techniques; and discuss the advantages of vinyl transfers. Plus, you will dicuss how to create and scale a marquetry design. You will have plenty on hands-on exercises to further develop your advanced wood graining skills and techniques. This class will also include the creation of recipes and processes for successful marquetry finishing.
