This three day course will introduce you to intermediate gilding techniques. In this course you will focus on application techniques for ribbon-gold on ceilings, and loose leaf aplications on flat surfaces, decorative objects, and furniture. You will learn how to use distressing techniques with paint or chemical patinas to age or antique your gilding. You will cover surface preparation and the use of oil or water sizing for application of gilding as well as how to utilize different layout techniques. You will conduct hands-on exercises to further your gilding techniues and skills.
