Class description
331-F Metal Patina II In the world of decorative painting, practitioners find that we can step into almost any industry and find something to incorporate into our business. Chemical patinization is one of those subjects. Turning metals different colors with certain chemicals is an age old process. As a decorative painter you can use this skill to age iron railings and distress metal leaf. There are many applications for this skill, and when faux painting is not quite accurate enough, you need to know how to create the real thing. In this one day course you will learn how to replicate many different methods to achieve patina finishes. You will learn metallic paint composition, oxidization, and controlling sheen Also you will learn how to use reactive paints that are currently available in the marketplace. You will conduct hands-on exercises to further develop and refine advanced metal patina techniques.
