106-F Distressing I The look of hand painted, custom finished furniture/cabinetry is in high demand and is prominently displayed in some of the finest showrooms and magazines in the country. In this three-day course, you will learn the principles of distressing on various surfaces, decorative objects, and wall surfaces. You will understand and learn furniture structure; preparation; staining; painting; glazing; distressing; crackling; finding inspiration; foiling; mixing mediums for distressing; dry brushing; sealing and protecting the distressed finish. You will also conduct hands-on exercises to develop and refine distressing techniques. In this class we work on panel and molding pieces to use as representation of full pieces of furniture.
