Interiors & Faux Painting Business

As an interior design professional, you are committed to continually educating yourself on all aspects of your business. One area of interior design that is growing rapidly is decorative painting/faux & finishing the faux painting business. It has traditionally been difficult for design professionals to keep up with industry trends and current products and faux painting techniques in decorative painting because very few experts in the decorative painting field offer special faux finish workshops/programs geared towards helping the interior design professional.

There are two ways in which design professionals can connect with the decorative painting industry to advance their knowledge and effectiveness. The first is through the “Principles of Applied Arts” course offered at the School of Applied Arts approved by the Interior Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC). The 100-101-102-103 courses of the Principles of Applied Arts is a registered course (#1953) and carry 4.0 Continuing Education Units (CEUs). This five-day hands-on class offered every first week of the month, is perfect for design professionals to gain a basic understanding of all decorative painting techniques being used in today’s marketplace. A detailed course description is available.
